The tool is quite easy to use, the free version does contain a great deal of features to get any presentation running smoothly and easily. You will need to use a separate audio tool for audio recordings. 
I was mindful of not overloading the presentation with too much information is that can sometimes be overwhelming to an audience trying to grasp new information.

<![CDATA[Using class Facebook as a broadcast tool]]>Wed, 30 Sep 2015 18:14:07 GMThttp://automentoring.com/2/post/2015/09/using-class-facebook-as-a-broadcast-tool.htmlI started using a class Facebook page to experiment with students getting live updates as a way to create greater engagement and to take the technology outside the classroom in a heavy content filled Business class. So far I have been posting pre-class reading material to the home page wall. I could have used our LMS - D2L, but the idea of the Facebook page was to create engagement not necessarily more to-do's. The LMS acts as a MUST-DO assignment area. The Facebook page acts as a fun - wouldn't it be great to know dumping grounds.  Engagement has been slow from students but I can see it starting to develop into a great resource area for all.
Our class site is private, available only by invitation. This ensures are safe learning environment. During class, items requiring further exploration will get more resources posted on the Facebook page.

If you want students to learn to do something longhand that can be done in a fraction of the time on a computer or the Internet, you should have a good reason.


Have the students use online resources such as converters, wiki's and search engine to get some prior learning done in a timely manner. In class time can be used to discriminate the data for factual accuracy and types of usage in solving the concerns at hand.
